Foodhi Classics: Bangkok Tacos and Curried Cauliflower Bites
What can I say about these tacos that I haven’t already said a million times on social media or elsewhere? They've been a bestseller since before we opened—killing it (kindly) at pop-ups and sticking around through three presidential terms. They’ll likely outlast democracy in the U.S.
Now, there was this one food critic—let’s call him Mr. Jones. He didn’t dig ’em. To be fair, he doesn’t seem to like anything vegan or “so-called plant-based.” If he were potato salad, he’d be made in Gordon Ramsay’s “nonstick” pans and definitely have bacon and raisins. Ewww.
"Something’s going on here, and you don’t know what it is, do you, Mr. Jones?"
When people ask why we’re not in this or that publication, it’s usually because we don’t pay for ads. Like a band with a killer street team, we’re all about that underground life. Also, Mr. Jones runs those, and that guy sucks.
But hey, you all love the Bangkok Tacos, and even though I sometimes want to move on, I'm still singing that tune. We’ve had to ditch the appetizer version—the Curried Cauliflower Bites—from time to time due to wild cauliflower price swings, but we’re doing what we can to keep prices reasonable. Unlike most big corporations, we’re not into marking things up just because we can.
"Because, you know, some people only do things because they get paid, and that’s just really sad."
Sometimes, though, a hiatus is necessary—but don’t worry, we’ll always have something else waiting to fill that sad, lonely hole in your gut.To me, cooking is a lot like music. We’re putting out new stuff and hitting the road, but we know you wanna hear the classics. The Bangkok Tacos are encore-ready. Excellent!
And with that, I say, "Party on!"
