Produce Check

Gang, I'm keeping an eye on the Cyclospora outbreak.

Please know that we thoroughly wash all of our produce and source what we can locally, including our leafy greens. We also avoid the giant industrial growers that too often end up at the center of these outbreaks. We've been boycotting those bastards for years.

That said, if you'd rather have a sandwich without greens or tacos without fresh herbs, we've got you. Just ask.

Power Outages

You may have seen my recent post about our recurring power outages. This summer has been the worst we've ever experienced. Every outage puts thousands of dollars of food at risk, disrupts service, and leaves us hoping the power comes back before we have to start throwing things away.

If you're as frustrated as we are, please let your local officials know you're looking for action. They know we've had an unprecedented number of outages, they know the grid has been neglected for years, and it's long past time something was done.

Let's get these lights back on.
